Thank you, thank you, thank you
I started going to Douglass this Tuesday. I have the same 3 classes a day: art, history & english. When fourth quarter starts it changes to spanish, algebra & physics. It’s so chill here. I love the small, oldschool feel, it was built in the 1940’s. It looks like there’s less than 100 kids here, and the faces come & go. I surprised myself in art. We watch movies in history. My english teacher’s name is Mr. Kitchen, he has a coffee bar in his room. “Cookin’ in the kitchen!” Our class is going to The Kennedy Center tomorrow to see this jazz band, and we’re hitting mckie’s afterward. The breaks are 10 minutes long. They have a bomb breakfast. The girls are mean but I’ve made friends with some. The guys are immature. I hear people ask each other “Why are you here?” kind of like a what’re you in for man? The first book I saw in the library was a Janis Joplin biography. I’m reading Go Ask Alice again. I look at this school as a new beginning, a fresh start. A chance to prove to myself that I do have control over my life. I can’t believe it, but I actually look forward to going to school.
I don’t want to jinx things, but it’s getting better. I’m hanging out with the first guy I’ve ever hooked up with, he’s back from Chicago. I just need a bad boy, I guess. We talk all the time and we have the sexiest sex. Just DAMN..He’s on my mind a lot. :)
Thanking God for this positive outlook. This time I hope it lasts.
